Deliver 70 Chemical Vessels before the end of 2019

In 2019, United Rentals, a leading American rental company specialised in liquid solutions, experienced a significant increase in demand for their chemical vessels. To meet this growing demand and strengthen their competitive position, they ordered 70 vessels from VDL Staalservice, with a strict deadline of the end of 2019.

Challenge

VDL Staalservice, originally specialised in sheet-metal work, accepted this challenge. As the main contractor, we are responsible for the entire production, including coating and assembly of the vessels. This required a complete redesign of the factory and considerable investments in both man and machines.

Thanks to an efficient approach to production and close cooperation with reliable partners, both within VDL Groep and beyond, VDL Staalservice was able to deliver the vessels in time. This successful cooperation not only strengthened the market position of United Rentals, but also demonstrated the flexibility and capacity of VDL Staalservice to complete big projects within tight deadlines.
