What is Boxer?
Boxer is a MultiRole Armoured Vehicle (MRAV). The vehicle consists of two parts: the standardised driver module and one of the 8 mission-specific modules (varying from troop transport to fight). Boxer is known for its high mobility, big loading volume, loading weight and excellent ballistic protection for passengers. Which is why different NATO countries, including the Netherlands, Germany and the UK, together have over 1000 of these vehicles.
The role of VDL Staalservice
The role of VDL Staalservice VDL Staalservice supplies a wide range of armoured steel parts and welding assemblies (including supervision of our own IWT and IWE welding specialists) for the Boxer vehicle. These components are essential for the protection of the passengers. Many of these parts are also supplied, via partners, with a special coating.
